Toronto residents flocked to the Indonesian Street Festival Toronto 2019 that was held on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at the Yonge and Dundas Square, one of the busiest intersections in Canada.

The festival, which is in its 3rd year of being held, serves to promote Indonesia and its culture to Canadians. The most anticipated part of the festival is none other than the flavorful and appetizing cuisines that are introduced by many booth vendors. The visitors of the festival were also able to enjoy and take part in cultural performances such as Tari Maumere and Tari Tor-Tor and buy handicrafts and coffee made in Indonesia. Kamasean Matthews, the runner up of Indonesian Idol Season 7, gave a performance on the stage, along with the dance troupe Saung Budaya who presented Tari Enggang, Yosim Pancar, and Bajidor Kahot.

Consulate General Leonard Hutabarat said that ISF Toronto is also an effort to increase the trade & investing value of Indonesia and promote Indonesian tourism to Canada. Through the Consul General’s booth, many visitors were able to know about the beauty of Indonesia.

BNI New York, led by General Manager Aidil Azhar, also took part in ISF Toronto to support the promotion of the trade, tourism, and culture of Indonesia and was able to meet with many of the Indonesian diaspora. Customers were able to conveniently open an account on the site of ISF in no time, as well as ask questions about investing in Indonesia.
